DRAWSTRING HANDMADE prints are created by Louise Manner, graphic designer, printmaker and artist living by the sea in Austinmer, just south of Sydney.
Living by the sea and the mountains in the Northern Illawarra, is a way for me to find time and space to connect with nature. In my home studio, over-looking the garden and trees, I’m frequently visited by King parrots, Sulphur-crested cockatoos, Bower birds and wrens – which are my inspiration.
My range includes bold lino prints, giclée art prints, timber prints, greeting cards and gift tags, with new designs constantly emerging.
In my work I combine traditional drawing skills with digital colouring techniques, to create very intricate, vibrant and unique images - with a particular focus on birds. I really love the detail and shape of feathers and I’ve been inspired by so many of our amazing Australian birds.
I hope my illustrations inspire people to fill their walls and lives with beautiful, unique and locally produced artwork.
